Inch Strand

The B&B host had mentioned Inch Strand, a very long stretch of sand on the Dingle Peninsula. You can see the Iveragh Peninsula on the other side of the bay. It being a Saturday, families were out in force.

Besides being 3 miles long and poking out north-south, its other claim to fame was to feature in Ryan's Daughter, a David Lean epic romantic film from 1970 starring Robert Mitchum and Sarah Miles.
